WELCOME TO THE ADAMS CENTER
for Mind and Body

We offer traditional psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, and complementary therapy services for individuals, groups, couples, families, and organizations.

TEAM MODEL for EATING DISORDERS

We offer a comprehensive and compassionate team model for the treatment of eating disorders. Our practice is committed to a holistic approach in which each client’s experience will be individually conceptualized.

The process begins with an Intake Evaluation with our Clinical Director, Sue Adams. This will be the time to gather the “big picture” and begin the process of case conceptualization. The client is then referred to one of our mental health providers as well as one of our registered dieticians.

A team meeting may be coordinated and may or may not include family members, caregivers, and outside providers, such as primary care doctors, psychiatrists, outside therapists, etc. These meetings may take place monthly to monitor progress. The intention will be to create a customized plan for treatment for the support and success of the client.

The Adams Center for Mind and Body is not an Intensive Outpatient Program or a Partial Hospitalization Program. Services can be provided in person or remotely as office visits.

HOLISTIC APPROACH

Traditional psychotherapy, partnered with nutrition counseling, stress management, and bodywork, provide the foundation for our integrative therapeutic process.

We believe such holistic interface addresses the context of the presenting symptoms and honors the choices one makes in the pursuit of wholeness.
