Ours is a holistic approach. Traditional psychotherapy, partnered with nutritional counseling, stress management, and bodywork, provide the foundation for our integrative therapeutic process. We believe such holistic enhancement addresses the context of the presenting symptoms and honors the choices one makes towards health.
Treatment at The Adams Center is based on the most current research suggesting the need to include the physical body in conjunction with more traditional psychotherapies for the best long-term results.
The human condition is complex. Mind and body are not separate, but interconnected. Our treatment therapies address both which, in turn, heals the spirit. Together, in an initial thirty minute consultation, Client and Therapist co-create a personalized plan, taking into consideration this mind/body perspective in setting goals.
Based on the resources available at the Center, we put together a team of licensed professionals, working with a variety of modalities and interventions, to assist in better body image, improved emotional regulation, as well as successful resolution of traumas in PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).
Periodic evaluations are conducted to ensure that treatment goals are being met and Ms. Adams works with the Client's Primary Care Physician, as well as the Staff at the Adams Center to coordinate services.
