STACY BURNETT, L.I.C.S.W.
Stacy Burnett is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and has been with the Adams Center since 2016. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Vermont in 2002 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 2006.
Stacy is available to teens, adults, couples, and families to address issues related to depression and anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and relationship conflicts. She is trained in EMDR and has a background in family violence and crisis intervention, as well as issues affecting adoptive and divorced families. She believes in each person’s capacity to heal and strives to create a safe and comfortable environment through which to explore these challenges.
Stacy values collaboration within the therapeutic relationship, adapting therapeutic approaches to client needs and preferences. She draws upon a variety of modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and expressive approaches such as sand tray, and art-based methods. She works with other therapists, family members, and community supports to ensure a comprehensive system of support, and is available for ongoing feedback and collaboration.
