Ali Dumeer, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.
Ali is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in family therapy, parenting education, and community-based youth work. She earned her BS in Psychology in 2004 and her MSW in 2008, both from UVM.
She practices Adlerian and Contemplative therapeutic approaches, applying these perspectives to her work with individuals, couples, parents, and families. She is knowledgeable about systems and resources within Vermont, and committed to advocating for the needs of youth and families.
Ali has a strong belief in the inherent worth and dignity of each person, regardless of circumstance. She strives to assist people to overcome self-doubt and to reclaim confidence in their innate goodness. Understanding that emotional energy is stored in the body as well as the mind, Ali is happy to work in a setting where clients have an opportunity to participate in whole-person care and where providers excel at collaborating across disciplines.
