Stacy Burnett, L.C.S.W
Stacy Burnett is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a specialty in adolescents and families. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Vermont in 2002 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 2006.
Stacy is available to individuals, couples, and families to explore issues related to depression and anxiety, trauma, relationships, and family stress. She has a background in domestic violence and crisis intervention, as well as issues affecting adoptive and divorced families. She enjoys working with teens, parents, and couples to resolve conflicts and strengthen communication and understanding and strives to create a safe and comfortable environment through which to explore these challenges.
Stacy values collaboration within the therapeutic relationship, adapting therapeutic approaches to client needs and preferences. She draws upon a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and expressive approaches such as sand tray, breath work, and art-based methods. She works with other therapists, family members, and community supports to ensure a comprehensive system of support, and is available for ongoing feedback and collaboration.
