Laura Biron, M.B.A., R.D., C.D.
Laura Biron, M.B.A., R.D., C.D. is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Dietitian in the State of Vermont who comes to The Adams Center with over 20 years of experience pursuing her passion of helping people live better by eating well and making peace with food.
She completed a dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital where she also completed coursework at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions towards a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition. Laura holds a Master Of Business Degree in Health Care from Boston University. She worked at several Harvard Teaching Affiliate Hospitals in the Boston area prior to moving to Vermont 10 years ago.
Laura tailors science-based nutrition information into simple, user friendly ways that her clients can use to treat or prevent disease…or just plain take better care of themselves. She provides medical nutrition therapy for disordered eating, weight management, cardiovascular health, diabetes and digestive problems
Laura also teaches nutrition at Community College of Vermont, provides nutrition counseling at Central Vermont Medical Center and is a facilitator for the VTrim Weight Management Program through University of Vermont. Laura focuses her continuing education on eating disorders and mindful eating. She has received certification in both adult and pediatric weight from the American Dietetics Association and is a board member of the Vermont Dietetics Association. She lives with her husband and 2 teenage children and enjoys fun activities like gardening, snowboarding, yoga and hiking with her Portuguese water dog, Minnow.
