Kathryn Pedersen, M.A., L.C.M.H.C.

pedersen.jpgKathryn Pedersen is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who holds multiple Masters’ Degrees including: Clinical Psychology from St Michael’s College and Mental Health Counseling from Johnson State College; and advanced training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Hypnosis, and Object Relations Therapy.

Prior to joining the Adams Center in July 2009, Kathryn has practiced psychotherapy for fifteen years. She currently maintains a private practice in St. Albans.

Kathryn regards herself as an interactive, practical, and solution-focused therapist who is able to draw upon a variety of approaches to help clients build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals. She has particular expertise in treating anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and depression.

The integration of hypnosis with Cognitive Behavior Therapy has been a specific focus of Kathryn’s work. She has found this approach to be effective and successful with treatment of bulimia nervosa and overeating problems among others.
